About me
Monica Lloyd is the Executive Director of Shoes and Clothes for Kids (SC4K), a Cleveland-based nonprofit that removes barriers to school attendance by providing new shoes, clothes, and school supplies to students in need. Under her leadership, SC4K serves more than 34,000 students and teachers each year across 48 communities in Cuyahoga County.
Monica joined SC4K as Director of Programs, where she managed more than $3 million in inventory, implemented systems to measure program outcomes, and helped guide a period of significant organizational growth. She has built strong partnerships with schools, nonprofits, corporate partners, and community organizations while leading teams of full-time, part-time, seasonal staff, and interns.
Promoted to Executive Director in 2023, Monica led SC4K's relocation to the Greater Cleveland Food Bank's Community Resource Center, expanding the organization's capacity and creating new opportunities to serve children and families directly. She enjoys bringing people together, building partnerships, and finding practical solutions that help mission-driven organizations increase their impact.
In addition to her work at SC4K, Monica is a on the Membership Committee of the National Educational Resource Collective, a network of educational resource centers that shares best practices and innovative ideas to better support students and educators across the country. She serves on the Board of Directors for Summer on the Cuyahoga, helping connect college students with meaningful internships and encouraging them to build their careers in Northeast Ohio. She is also a member of the Cavaliers Neighborhood Hub Advisory Circle, where community leaders help guide how the Cavaliers invest in communities, build partnerships, and create meaningful impact for local families.
A lifelong Clevelander who grew up in a family of educators, Monica developed a deep appreciation for the role education plays in creating opportunity. Outside of work, she's a passionate reader, has been a member of the same book club for more than 25 years, and enjoys traveling and exploring new places.
